NFL Week 16 Betting Odds and Predictions

The 2018 season has reached the penultimate weekend, and there are still plenty of playoff spots up for grabs. Let’s take a look at the week 16 schedule and pick out the five best NFL games to bet on this weekend.

Los Angeles Chargers -4.5 vs. Baltimore Ravens:

The biggest and most important week 16 might be the Saturday night game between the Los Angeles Chargers and Baltimore Ravens. The Chargers are tied with the Kansas City Chiefs for the top spot in the AFC, while the Ravens are clinging to the number six seed. The Los Angeles offense has been clicking of late with quarterback Philip Rivers leading the way, and the Chargers should get running back Melvin Gordon back for this game.

Baltimore has been running the ball like crazy since Lamar Jackson took over the starting quarterback job, and the Ravens also feature one of the best defenses in the NFL. If the Ravens are able to establish their ground game, they might be able to slow down the Chargers explosive offense, but that is a tall task. Rivers has thrown for close to 4,000 yards this season, and has plenty of weapons on that side of the ball. This game should be an intense battle, but the Chargers are just too good at home. Bet the Los Angeles Chargers -4.5 over the Baltimore Ravens.

Detroit Lions vs. Minnesota Vikings -5.5:

The Minnesota Vikings head into Detroit needing a win to keep their playoff hopes alive. The Vikings will try to ride quarterback Kirk Cousins and wide receiver Adam Thielen to a wild-card spot in the NFC. Cousins has thrown for over 3,900 yards this season, and Thielen has racked up 1,255 receiving yards on 105 catches. The Vikings are still looking for a consistent running game, but their offense is good enough through the air.

Detroit will try to counter with their stud quarterback, Matthew Stafford. Stafford is having another monster season, throwing for 3,395 yards, but the Lions offense lacks weapons to really scare a defense. Minnesota has recorded 47 sacks so far this season, and they should be able to take advantage of a bad Lions offensive line. Detroit won’t just roll over for the Vikings, but Minnesota will get the much-needed win by a touchdown. Bet the Minnesota Vikings -5.5 over the Detroit Lions.

New York Jets vs. Green Bay Packers +2.5:

A pair of struggling teams will meet up in New York for a week 16 battle. The Green Bay Packers have missed out on the playoffs for two straight seasons, while the Jets are still trying to get back to relevancy after some rough seasons. Despite a poor record, the Packers still feature one of the best quarterbacks in league history in Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers has thrown for 3,974 yards this season, while throwing just two interceptions on the season. Wide receiver Davante Adams is an absolute stud, catching 100 passes for 1,315 yards this season, and he should find some room to operate against a struggling Jets defense.

Jets rookie quarterback Sam Darnold has shown some flashes of greatness this season, but he has also made some bad mistakes. The Jets struggle to score points, averaging just over 20 points per game, and this will be the difference on Sunday. Bet the Green Bay Packers +2.5 over the New York Jets in this game.

New Orleans Saints -6.0 vs. Pittsburgh Steelers:

A pair of terrific offenses will take the field in the SuperDome for what could be a high-scoring affair. Drew Brees is leading a Saints offense that is averaging a league best 32.8 points per game this season, and they will take on Ben Roethlisberger and a Steelers team averaging 27.3 points per game. New Orleans is just one win away from clinching home field advantage throughout the NFC Playoffs, and they are almost impossible to beat at home.

The Steelers are coming off of an impressive win against the Patriots in week 15, but they haven’t been very consistent this season. Look for the Saints to get their ground game going with Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram in this game, and then Brees will do his thing. The Steelers are in for a tough challenge on this game. Bet the Saints -6.0 over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

San Francisco 49ers vs. Chicago Bears -4.0:

The NFC North Champion Chicago Bears will head west to battle the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. The Niners have won two games in a row despite playing a third-string quarterback in Nick Mullens. San Francisco is averaging just 21.4 points per game this season, but they have started to play better of late. The Bears have a solid offense with explosive playmakers, but their biggest strength has been the defense. Chicago is allowing just 18.9 points per game and lead the NFL with 35 takeaways. It is hard to win on the road in the NFL, but not when you have a defense like the Bears. Bet on the Chicago Bears -4.0 over the San Francisco 49ers.

NFL Week 14 Betting Odds and Predictions

The 2018 NFL season is entering the final stretch, but there are still many playoff races yet to be decided. Let’s take a look at the five best NFL games to bet on this weekend, and make a prediction for each game.

Green Bay Packers -4.5 vs. Atlanta Falcons

The Packers made headlines this week after firing longtime head coach Mike McCarthy. Green Bay brings a 4-7-1 record into this game, and they have been very disappointing this season. Atlanta has been even worse this season, posting a 4-8 record through their first 12 games. This game is a battle of two of the biggest disappointments in the NFL, but there should be plenty of offense in this game. Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers and Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan are two of the best in the business, and they will try to outduel each other. Expect the weather to be cold and snowy and that is Packers weather. Bet the Green Bay Packers -4.5 over the Atlanta Falcons.

Kansas City Chiefs -6.5 vs. Baltimore Ravens

The top team in the AFC will host a playoff hopeful in an important game in Kansas City. The 10-2 Chiefs will take on a Baltimore Ravens team that has won three straight games to get back into the playoff picture. Baltimore has looked like a different team since rookie Lamar Jackson has taken over the quarterback job. With Jackson in charge, the Ravens lead the league in rushing and time of possession. If the Ravens are able to keep the explosive Chiefs offense on the sideline for much of this game, they might be able to pull off their fourth straight win. Kansas City released running back Kareem Hunt before week 13, but still managed to score 40 points. As long as the Chiefs have Patrick Mahomes at quarterback, they will still score a ton of points. Bet the Chiefs -6.5 over the Baltimore Ravens.

Dallas Cowboys vs. Philadelphia Eagles +3.5

Perhaps the biggest game of the weekend will take place in Dallas when the Cowboys host the Philadelphia Eagles. The winner of this game will take over 1st place in the NFC East, and this is one of the best rivalries in football. The Cowboys have won four straight games to put themselves in a nice position, and they have been riding the legs of Ezekiel Elliott. The Cowboys running back has racked up 1,150 yards and six touchdowns this season. Dallas also features one of the top defenses in the NFL, giving up just 18.6 points per game. Philadelphia is averaging just 21.5 points per game this season, but they are starting to heat up at the right time. Newcomer Golden Tate had a big night in week 13, finishing with 7 catches for 85 yards and a touchdown in the win. The Eagles still have plenty of work to do to return to the playoffs this season, but they have the talent to get the job done. Look for Philadelphia to make a statement against the Cowboys in Dallas. Bet the Eagles +3.5 over the Cowboys in a huge NFC East clash.

Arizona Cardinals +2.5 vs. Detroit Lions

The Arizona Cardinals are fresh off of their third win of the season in a game that cost Mike McCarthy a job. The Cardinals have been a mess on offense all season long, averaging just 14.6 points per game. Against the Packers it was rookie running back Chase Edmunds who was the offensive star, scoring two touchdowns in his first career game at Lambeau Field. Arizona will take on another NFC North team, the Detroit Lions, in this game, and they could find the same success. Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford has thrown for over 3,000 yards again this season, but Detroit has been riddled with injuries this season. Playing at home should give the Cardinals an extra boost, and I think they get their second straight victory in this game. Bet the Arizona Cardinals +2.5 to beat the Detroit Lions on Sunday afternoon.

Seattle Seahawks vs. Minnesota Vikings +3.5

The Seattle Seahawks will host the Minnesota Vikings with a lot at stake in the NFC Playoff race. Seattle continues to be one of the hardest places to win on the road in the NFL, but the Vikings feature one of the most talented rosters in the league. Quarterback Kirk Cousins has thrown for over 3,400 yards in his first season with the Vikings, and will need to have a big game against the Seahawks. Minnesota has struggled running the ball this season, but should find success through the air. For Seattle, quarterback Russell Wilson has been sharp again this season, but running back Chris Carson has started to emerge as a star. Carson has ran for 704 yards and four touchdowns this season, but he faces a hungry Vikings defense in this game. The Seahawks are a small favorite in this game, but the Vikings will come away with the win. Bet the Minnesota Vikings +3.5 over the Seahawks on Monday night.

NFL Week 13 Betting Odds and Predictions

The 2018 NFL regular season is nearing the home stretch as teams are making a run at the playoffs. There are several terrific matchups on the schedule for week 13. Let’s take a look at the five best games to bet on around the NFL this weekend.

Atlanta Falcons -1.0 vs. Baltimore Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens will head into Atlanta on Sunday and will be trying to keep their playoff hopes alive. The Falcons will need to win out to even have a chance at the playoffs after a disappointing start to the season. Atlanta has lost three straight games, and their offense is all out of sorts of late. Quarterback Matt Ryan has thrown for over 3,600 yards this season but has been inconsistent in the red zone. The Falcons have also given up 27.9 points per game, and their defense has taken a big step back from a season ago. Baltimore intends to start rookie quarterback Lamar Jackson again this week in this game, and he has provided a spark to the Ravens offense. Jackson has been running like crazy in the past two games, but he has taken advantage of a pair of horrible defenses. Baltimore is making a late push at a playoff run, but those dreams will take a big hit in this game. The Falcons should be able to score on the Ravens, and they will win this game at home. Bet the Atlanta Falcons -1.0 over the Baltimore Ravens.

Detroit Lions vs. Los Angeles Rams -10.0

The Los Angeles Rams will return from their bye week by taking on the Detroit Lions during week 13. The Rams enter this game with a 10-1 record, and still have their sights set on the top seed in the NFC. Detroit has struggled this season and suffered a crushing loss to the Chicago Bears on Thanksgiving Day. The Lions offense has been a mess all season long, and they will be without two of their top playmakers in this game. Wide receiver Marvin Jones was recently placed on injured reserve by the team, and running back Kerryon Johnson is still injured. The Rams are led by quarterback Jared Goff and Todd Gurley, and their offense has been unstoppable all season long. Los Angeles should be focused and refreshed coming off of their bye week, and they will blow out the Lions. Bet the Rams -10.0 over the Lions.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Carolina Panthers -3.5

The Carolina Panthers will try to snap a three-game losing streak when they take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday afternoon. The Panthers looked like one of the top teams in the NFC through the first 10 weeks of the season, but the wheels have started to fall off. Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston was sharp in the week 12 victory over the San Francisco 49ers but will face a much tougher defense in this matchup. Tampa Bay has struggled to play defense this season, and that won’t work against Christian McCaffrey and the Panthers offense. Look for the Panthers to snap their losing streak with a big win in Tampa Bay. Bet the Carolina Panthers -3.5 over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Houston Texans -5.5 vs. Cleveland Browns

The red-hot Houston Texans will host the improving Cleveland Browns on Sunday at NRG Stadium. The Texans have won eight straight games after their win over the Titans on Monday Night Football, and have all but locked up the AFC South. The Houston defense has been playing at a high level, allowing just 20.2 points per game this season. Quarterback Deshaun Watson is starting to look like the player he was last season, and the Texans should be able to score some points against a young Browns defense. Cleveland has gone 4-6-1 so far this season, and with rookie quarterback, Baker Mayfield leading the way, look like a team that could make the playoffs next season. Mayfield and the Cleveland offense are in for a tough test in this game, and things won’t go well for them on Sunday. Bet the Houston Texans -5.5 over the Cleveland Browns.

New England Patriots -5.0 vs. Minnesota Vikings

Perhaps the best game on the week 13 schedule is a matchup between the New England Patriots and Minnesota Vikings. This game was billed as a potential Super Bowl preview in the preseason, and both teams are starting to show signs of that taking place. The Patriots are starting to get healthy again, and tight end Rob Gronkowski was a monster in their week 12 victory over the Jets. The Vikings got a great performance from Kirk Cousins in a Sunday night win over the Green Bay Packers last weekend. This should be a terrific football game that will come down to the last few minutes. Fortunately for the Patriots they still have Tom Brady, and he will lead New England on a late game-winning touchdown drive. Bet the Patriots -5.0 over the Vikings.

NFL Week 11 Betting Odds and Predictions

Just seven weeks remain in the 2018 NFL regular season, and some teams are facing near must-win situations entering week 11. Let’s take a quick look at some of the best NFL games to bet on this week.

Seattle Seahawks vs. Green Bay Packers +2.5

Week 11 of the NFL season kicks off with a terrific Thursday Night Football matchup between the Seattle Seahawks and Green Bay Packers. Both the Seahawks and Packers sit just outside of the playoff picture in the NFC, and the loser of this game will likely see their playoff hopes ended. Seattle has been the top rushing team in the NFL this season, and they will look to get their ground game going early in this game. Green Bay will likely let quarterback Aaron Rodgers lead them. Rodgers has thrown 17 touchdown passes this season, and he will need to have a big game against Seattle. The Seahawks have been playing better on defense of late, but Rodgers and company will prove to be too much. Bet the Green Bay Packers +2.5 to beat the Seahawks on TNF.

Chicago Bears -3.0 vs. Minnesota Vikings

Perhaps the biggest game on Sunday will take place in the Windy City between the Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings. The winner of this game will take over first place in the NFC North, and will put themselves in great shape to make it to the playoffs. Chicago has been the biggest surprise in the NFL this season, and feature a top-5 offense and defense. Second-year quarterback Mitchell Trubisky has completed 65 percent of his passes and has thrown 19 touchdowns. Khalil Mack leads a reborn Bears defense that is capable of making a big play on every snap. Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins has been solid in his first season in Minnesota, especially getting the ball to Adam Thielen. Thielen leads the NFL with 947 receiving yards and has caught seven touchdowns this season. Minnesota was supposed to win this division this season, but the Bears appear ready to take control. This game will be a battle, but Chicago wins with a late touchdown. Bet the Chicago Bears -3.0 over the Vikings.

Indianapolis Colts vs. Tennessee Titans +2.0

The red-hot Indianapolis Colts will take on the resurgent Tennessee Titans in an AFC South battle on Sunday. The Colts have won three straight games, while the Titans are coming off of their most impressive wins in recent memory. Quarterback Andrew Luck has been terrific for the Colts this season, throwing 26 touchdown passes to just seven interceptions. The Colts defense has been struggling this season, giving up 26.6 points per game. Darius Leonard leads the team with four sacks and 96 solo tackles this season. The Titans defense has carried them all season long, allowing just 16.8 points per game this season. Tennessee absolutely shut down Tom Brady and the Patriots offense last Sunday, and the Titans are starting to look like a playoff team again. The winner of this game will still have a legitimate chance of catching the Houston Texans in the AFC South, and our bet is that the Titans will be that team. Bet on Marcus Mariota and the Titans +2.0 over Luck and the Indianapolis Colts.

New Orleans Saints -8.0 vs. Philadelphia Eagles

This was supposed to be a matchup of two of the top NFC teams, but the Eagles have fallen on hard times. Philadelphia comes into this game with a 4-5 record, while the New Orleans Saints have won eight straight games to vault to the top of the NFC. The Eagles do feature a top-10 defense, giving up just 20.3 points per game, but they will face a tough test in this game. New Orleans is averaging 36.7 points per game on the season, and quarterback Drew Brees looks like the MVP of the league. The fact that this game is at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome gives the Saints an even bigger advantage in this one. Philadelphia looks like it will miss the playoffs a year after winning the Super Bowl, and they will get blown out in this game. Bet the New Orleans Saints -8.0 over the Eagles on Sunday.  If you are living out east and betting this game, check out some of the top West Virginia sports betting sites to place your bet at.

Los Angeles Rams vs. Kansas City Chiefs +2.5

The Monday Night Football game will be played in Mexico this week, and it is one of the best matchups in recent memory. The 9-1 Los Angeles Rams will take on the 9-1 Kansas City Chiefs in what could be a Super Bowl preview. Both teams are led by young quarterbacks, and this game could likely get into the 40’s. The Rams were dealt a tough blow on Sunday when they lost wide receiver Cooper Kupp for the remainder of the season. Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes looks like he can’t be stopped, and running back Kareem Hunt has been running over people this season. This should be a terrific matchup, but the Chiefs have more talent on offense. Bet the Kansas City Chiefs +2.5 to beat the Rams in Mexico City.

NFL Betting: Top 5 Super Bowl Betting Odds Favorites

As the calendar has now shifted to July, NFL teams will be set to open up training camps later this month. The first regular season game will take place on September 6th, which is just under two months away. Last year’s Super Bowl was an absolute thriller that was won by the underdog Philadelphia Eagles. Super Bowl LIII will take place at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. It’s never too early to start thinking about who will hoist the Lombardi Trophy next February. Let’s take a look at the top five favorites to win the Super Bowl this season.

New England Patriots +650

It should come as no surprise that the New England Patriots are the early favorite to win Super Bowl LIII, even after falling to the Eagles last season. The Patriots still have the dynamic combination of Tom Brady and Bill Belichick, and they are always a top contender. One key for the Patriots will be keeping tight end, Rob Gronkowski, healthy for the entire 2018 season. New England made some great free agent signings and trades this offseason that should shore up some of their weaker areas. The Patriots signed cornerback, Stephon Gilmore, to a large contract this season, but he improves their defense greatly. The Patriots will need to find a way to replace the loss of both Brandin Cooks and Danny Amendola, but Belichick always seems to make things work out. New England will have a say in who wins the Super Bowl this year.

Philadelphia Eagles +850

The Philadelphia Eagles burst onto the scene last season, and rode the momentum all the way to a Super Bowl victory. The Eagles enjoyed playing the role of underdog last season, but now they are one of the favorites. Quarterback, Carson Wentz, is on schedule to return to the Eagles in time for the season opener, but Nick Foles remains as a viable backup option. Philadelphia made a few key moves this offseason that improved their chances of repeating. The Eagles signed veteran wide receiver, Mike Wallace, who will provide them play making capability. They also added Michael Bennett in a trade with the Seahawks, which will improve their defense. The Eagles play in a tough NFC East Division, but they appear to have the most talent in the NFC.

Pittsburgh Steelers +1000

The Pittsburgh Steelers had a rough end to their 2017 season when they were stunned by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the AFC Divisional Round. The Steelers defense was torched in that game, and gave up a whopping 45 points in the loss. Pittsburgh must find a way to improve on defense if they are going to contend in 2018. The Steelers will once again feature a potent offense with quarterback Ben Roethlisberger leading the way. The steady quarterback will also have his favorite weapon, Antonio Bryant, back with him for another season. Running back, Le’veon Bell, is the third All-Pro player on the offensive side of the ball for the steelers. Pittsburgh has the offensive tools needed to win, but the defense must play better.

Los Angeles Rams +1100

No team in the National Football League has seen their odds to win the Super Bowl rise as much as the Los Angeles Rams. The Rams have had a terrific offseason, and are now seen as a real threat to the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC. The Rams made great improvements last season, and were the highest scoring team in the NFL. Los Angeles made a total of six trades this offseason, but their biggest move occurred in free agency, when they signed defensive star, Ndamukong Suh. The Rams also tried to fix their defensive woes by bringing in cornerbacks, Aqib Talib, Marcus Peters, and Sam Shields. It is pretty clear that the Los Angeles Rams are going for it this season, and the talent on their roster might just be enough to win the Super Bowl.

Minnesota Vikings +1100

The biggest question for the Vikings this offseason was deciding which quarterback they were going to employ as their starter. Minnesota appeared to have capable quarterbacks on the roster, but brought in former Redskins’ quarterback, Kirk Cousins, this offseason. Cousins will now have the pressure of leading the Vikings back to the Super Bowl squarely on his shoulders. The Vikings also added a key piece on the defensive side of the ball by signing defensive end, Sheldon Richardson, as a free agent this winter. Minnesota is still looking to add a third receiver before training camp begins, but the Vikings are bringing a majority of the Division champion team back from 2017. Minnesota will have to find a way to get past the Packers again this season, but the Vikings are a team that should factor into the playoff mix in 2018.
