Top 5 Bets for Week 6 of the National Football League

Week 6 of the 2019 NFL season is set to kick off on Thursday night, but that game is not one of the best games to bet on. There are a handful of other juicy matchups on the schedule this weekend, and there are some great opportunities to make some money. Let’s take a look at the top five betting picks for Week 6 of the NFL season.

Carolina Panthers (-2.0) vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (London)

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Carolina Panthers are set to meet up in the second NFL game to be played in London this season. These two teams have built up a nice rivalry over the last few seasons, and they should give the fans in London a great game.

Kyle Allen has taken over the quarterback job in Carolina and has won the last three games for this team. Running back Christian McCaffrey is putting up video-game numbers, and he will have the ball a ton in this game.

Tampa Bay has one of the most vaunted passing attacks in the league, but their defense is still a mess. The Buccaneers are an improving team, but they still have plenty of question marks. Bet the Carolina Panthers -2.0 over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in this game.

Houston Texans (+5.0) at Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs suffered their first loss of the season on Sunday night against the Colts, and the schedule doesn’t get much easier. The Houston Texans will come to town, and they are five-point underdogs in this one.

Kansas City is expected to get Tyreek Hill back on the field for this game, and that should help improve its offense. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes has been limping around of late, and teams are coming after him.

Houston has a nasty defense that will make life hard for Mahomes, and quarterback Deshaun Watson has been terrific as well. The Chiefs are always tough to beat at home, but Houston has the team to get it done in this game.

Philadelphia Eagles at Minnesota Vikings (-3.0)

This might be the most intriguing game of the weekend because both of these teams enter with 3-2 records, but also with Super Bowl hopes. Both the Vikings and Eagles have some issues that need fixed if they are going to reach the playoffs, but they have tons of potential.

The Eagles have the top rush defense in the NFL, and that should bode well against a Vikings team that loves to run. Quarterback Carson Wentz has been sharp for the Eagles, but he just doesn’t have many healthy bodies to throw the ball too.

Minnesota finally got a 300-yard passing performance from Kirk Cousins a week ago, as he found Adam Thielen plenty. The Vikings have a stout defense as well, and they are going to sneak away with a win in this one. Bet the Minnesota Vikings -3.0 over the Philadelphia Eagles in this huge matchup.

San Francisco 49ers at Los Angeles Rams (-3.0)

The San Francisco 49ers are the talk of the NFL so far this season, as they enter Week 6 with a perfect 4-0 record. The Niners absolutely dominated the Cleveland Browns on Monday Night Football, and they have the top rushing offense in the NFL.

San Francisco also has one of the most aggressive defenses in the league, and they have been recording sacks like crazy this season.

The Los Angeles Rams have been a bit of a mystery so far this season and are just 3-2. The Rams have struggled to get stops when they need them, and they are still waiting for running back Todd Gurley to return to form.

Los Angeles does have an elite passing attack, led by quarterback Jared Goff, and that will likely be the difference in this game. San Francisco is off to a great start to the season, but they will suffer their first loss in this game. Bet the Los Angeles Rams -3.0 over the San Francisco 49ers.

Detroit Lions at Green Bay Packers (-4.0)

Monday Night Football will feature a pair of NFC North rivals in the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions. The Lions have been a pleasant surprise so far this season but are still just 2-1-1.

Green Bay is an impressive 4-1, and they dismantled a terrific Dallas Cowboys team a week ago. The Packers have been winning games with their running game and their defense this season, but they still have Aaron Rodgers under center.

Detroit quarterback Matthew Stafford has been great so far this season as well, but the Lions’ defense still has some issues. The Packers just simply don’t lose many home games, and they aren’t losing this one. Bet the Green Bay Packers -4.0 on Monday night.

Top 3 NFL Games To Bet On In Week 4

Week 4 of the 2019 NFL season is here, and there is another slate of games to bet on. Now that each team has played three games so far this season, it is a little bit easier to get an accurate gauge on each team.

The top teams in the league have been identified, and the teams who look like they are going to struggle have emerged as well. Let’s take a look at the top three NFL games to bet on in Week 4 around the NFL.

Tennessee Titans at Atlanta Falcons (-4.0)

One of the first games to look at this weekend is a matchup between the Atlanta Falcons and the Tennessee Titans. This is a battle of 1-2 teams, and both were expected to get off to much better starts. The Falcons and Titans both have plenty of question marks heading into this game, and that makes this matchup all the more intriguing.

The Falcons have an impressive home victory over the Philadelphia Eagles this season, but they have lost a pair of road games to the Vikings and Colts. Atlanta can score on offense, but their defense has struggled this season. Quarterback Matt Ryan has thrown for 928 yards this season, with Julio Jones being his top target. Atlanta is hard to stop on offense at home in the dome, and they should have a big day in this game.

Tennessee scored 43 points in its season-opening win over the Cleveland Browns, but it has really struggled in the last two weeks. The Titans have scored just 24 combined points in their last two games, and that won’t get the job done against the Falcons. Quarterback Marcus Mariota has not thrown an interception this season but has completed just 60 percent of his passes.

The Falcons are just too good on offense, and picking them at -4.0 is the right pick in this game.

New England Patriots (-7.0) at Buffalo Bills

One of the biggest surprises in the NFL this season is the Buffalo Bills winning their first three games. One of the least surprising things in the NFL is that the Patriots are 3-0 this season as well. These two teams will meet up in Week 4 for a huge showdown in the AFC East.

The Patriots have been playing well on both sides of the ball so far this season, but their offense looks like one of the best in the league. Quarterback Tom Brady might not have the weapons that he is used to, but he is still putting up some great numbers. New England might have the most complete defense in the NFL this season, and they will shut down the Bills offense in this game.

Buffalo has also been playing terrific defense so far this season, but their offense is not on the same level as the New England Patriots. Quarterback Josh Allen has thrown for 750 yards and three touchdowns this season, but the Patriots will have a plan to shut him down.

Buffalo is going to have to score points to keep up with the Patriots, and that could be a huge problem. The Bills have not faced a tough defense so far this season, and this could be a huge struggle for them in this one.

The Bills might be at home in this game, but the New England Patriots -7.0 is the right bet in this huge matchup.

Minnesota Vikings at Chicago Bears (-2.0)

The NFC North looks like the toughest division in the NFL so far this season, and two of the top teams will square off in Week 4. The Chicago Bears will host the Minnesota Vikings in this game as two-point favorites. Chicago swept the Vikings in both games a season ago, and Minnesota will be out for revenge in this game.

The Bears finally found some offense in their Week 3 win over the Washington Redskins after struggling in the first two weeks. Chicago put up 28 points in the first half, and quarterback Mitchell Trubisky had three touchdown passes to Taylor Gabriel.

The one constant for the Bears this season has been the defense, and Chicago has the ability to completely shut down an opponent. The Bears had five takeaways in Week 3, and their defense will make life difficult on the Vikings offense.

Minnesota has been running the ball like crazy this season, and Dalvin Cook has already racked up 375 rushing yards and three touchdowns. The Vikings were looking for more balance on offense this season, but now it’s their passing game that needs to catch up.

Running the ball against the Chicago Bears is never an easy task, and that strategy could backfire in this Week 4 matchup. The Vikings defense will need to step up and perform to the level of the Chicago Bears.

The Bears are at home in this game, and that should be all the advantage they need. Take the Chicago Bears -2.0 in this matchup with the Minnesota Vikings.

Five Sure-Fire Bets To Cash In Week 2 Of The NFL Season

Week 1 of the 2019 National Football League season is now over, and there were plenty of surprises. Some of the top teams in the league really stood out in Week 1, and it was pretty easy to identify who the worst teams are. As we are looking at the Week 2 schedule, let’s talk about five of the sure-fire bets to cash in on this weekend in the National Football League.

Los Angeles Chargers -2.5 at Detroit Lions

The Los Angeles Chargers head up to Detroit to take on the Lions on Sunday afternoon. It’s never easy for a West Coast team to play an early-morning game on the road, but it shouldn’t matter much in this game.

The Chargers were one of the best teams in the NFL a season ago, and it looks like they are picking up right where they left off. The Chargers began their 2019 season with a 30-24 victory over the Indianapolis Colts, and their offense did not miss a beat without Melvin Gordon.

Detroit looks like it is going to have another rough season in 2019. The Lions looked like they were headed for a 1-0 start, but they fell apart in a big way in finishing Week 1 in a tie with the Arizona Cardinals. Detroit is never easy to beat at home, but the Chargers are just too good. Bet the Los Angeles Chargers -2.5 over the Detroit Lions in this game.

New England Patriots -19.0 at Miami Dolphins

The New England Patriots might have had the most impressive victory in Week 1, and they did it in dominating fashion. The Patriots blew out the Pittsburgh Steelers, finishing the game with a 33-3 victory. New England should also be getting Antonio Brown on the field in this game, and the Patriots’ offense should be able to score points in a hurry.

Miami played about as bad as possible in Week 1, losing its season opener by a 59-10 score to the Baltimore Ravens. Most people expected that the Dolphins would be bad this season, but this was on a whole new level. This game won’t be close at all, and the Patriots are going to roll. Bet the Patriots -19.0 over the Miami Dolphins in Week 2.

Seattle Seahawks at Pittsburgh Steelers -4.0

The Pittsburgh Steelers got absolutely stomped on Sunday night by the New England Patriots. Pittsburgh had a tough 2018 season, and their 2019 campaign could not have gotten off to a worse start. The Steelers have to hope that playing at home can get their season going.

Seattle earned a 21-20 victory over Cincinnati in Week 1, but it did not play well. The Seahawks are tough to beat at home, and they used their home-field advantage to get a big second-half victory. Seattle is going to have to start scoring more points if it is going to have another solid season in 2019.

This should be a very competitive game, but the Steelers are going to come away with this win. Bet the Pittsburgh Steelers -4.0 over the Seattle Seahawks in this Week 2 matchup.

New Orleans Saints +2.5 at Los Angeles Rams

The best game of the weekend will likely be this matchup between the New Orleans Saints and Los Angeles Rams. This is a rematch of the 2018 NFC Championship Game that ended in plenty of controversy. Both of these teams came away with a win in their season openers, and this game could go a long way towards figuring out the playoff picture in the NFC.

New Orleans is almost impossible to beat at home, but it isn’t as good on the road. The Saints really struggled on defense in the season opener, and that isn’t a good trend against the mighty Rams.

Los Angeles looked sharp in its Week 1 victory over the Carolina Panthers, and the Rams will be ready for this game. Revenge is a big motivator, and that’s why we are taking the New Orleans Saints +2.5 over the Los Angeles Rams in Week 2.

Philadelphia Eagles -2.5 at Atlanta Falcons

The Sunday Night Football game features a pair of NFC teams that have been in the Super Bowl in recent seasons. This game also features a pair of future Hall of Fame quarterbacks, and there will be plenty of points scored in this game.

Atlanta looked horrible in a Week 1 blowout loss to the Minnesota Vikings, while the Philadelphia Eagles looked sharp in a win over the Washington Redskins. Playing on the road is never easy in the NFL, but the Eagles just have too much talent for the Falcons. This game should be close, but the correct pick is the Philadelphia Eagles -2.5 over the Atlanta Falcons.

Top 5 teams to Bet on in Week 1 of the NFL Season

The 2019 NFL season is set to kick off next week with games starting on Thursday night. Each team will have played their season opener by the end of Monday night, and there will have been 16 games that you could have bet on. There are reasons to bet on all 32 teams in the league this weekend, but we have selected the five best teams to bet on this weekend.

Chicago Bears: The Chicago Bears were the biggest surprise team in the NFL a season ago, but they won’t be able to sneak up on anyone this season. The Bears play in the first NFL game of the season on Thursday night when they host the Green Bay Packers. This is one of the greatest rivalries in football, and it should be a great way to kick off the regular season. The Bears led the league in nearly every single defensive category a season ago, and they return all but one starter from that team. Head coach Matt Nagy is an offensive genius, and the Bears should thrive in year number two under him. Quarterback Mitchell Trubisky has all of the skills in the world to be a terrific NFL quarterback. Bet on the Chicago Bears -3.0 over the Green Bay Packers.

Minnesota Vikings: The Minnesota Vikings will kick off the season by hosting the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday afternoon. 2018 did not go well for the Vikings as they missed the playoffs and finished in second place in the NFC North. The biggest reason for the drop off was the play of their defense. Minnesota led the league in fewest points allowed in 2017, but last year did not go well for the Vikings. Kirk Cousins is back for his second year with Minnesota, and he actually put up great numbers a season ago. The Vikings have a ton of talent at wide receiver and running back Dalvin Cook is a beast when healthy. Minnesota is a 4.0 point favorite on Sunday afternoon, and they are going to win a shootout against the Falcons.

Los Angeles Rams: The Los Angeles Rams will open up the season on the road at the Carolina Panthers, but they are still 3.0 point favorites. Los Angeles made it all the way to the Super Bowl a season ago, but their season still ended in disappointment. The explosive Rams offense was completely shut down in the Super Bowl, and they will be looking to get some revenge this season. Los Angeles will get Cooper Kupp back from injury this season, and that gives Jared Goff another weapon to throw the ball too. Todd Gurley is expected to be close to 100 percent in this game as well, and the Rams offense should be hard to stop. Oh, and they still have Aaron Donald leading the defense. Winning in Carolina won’t be an easy task, but the Rams just have too much talent to lose this one. Bet the Los Angeles Rams -3.0 over the Carolina Panthers in the season-opening game.

Cleveland Browns: The Cleveland Browns are a popular pick to win the Super Bowl this season, but they still have plenty of work to do before we get to that point. The Browns will begin the season with a home game against the Tennessee Titans, and they are -5.0 point favorites. Cleveland has a talented second-year quarterback in Baker Mayfield, and they brought in a ton of weapons for him to throw to. Odell Beckham Jr. gives the Browns a great deep-field threat, and Cleveland also has a ton of talented running backs. There are still some question marks on this roster, but they should be really good this season. If the Browns can continue to play elite defense, then they should be able to put up a low score against a weak Titans offense. There will still be some growing pains in Cleveland this season, but they will win this game. Bet the Cleveland Browns -5.0 over the Tennessee Titans in the season opener.

Los Angeles Chargers: The Los Angeles Chargers thought they were going to have a tough season opener against the Indianapolis Colts, but things have changed in a hurry. The Colts will no longer have Andrew Luck playing quarterback, and the Indianapolis offense suddenly seems below average. That’s good news for a Chargers team that really struggled on defense to end the 2018 season. Los Angeles will also likely be without running back Melvin Gordon, who continues to hold out in hopes of a new contract extension. The Chargers still have Philip Rivers and Keenan Allen, and their passing game should be one of the best in the league. Don’t be surprised to see the Chargers run away with this game. Bet the Los Angeles Chargers -7.0 over the Indianapolis Colts in the season opener.

NFL Week 3 Preseason Betting Tips and Predictions

Week three of the NFL preseason is set to begin this weekend, and there are several good betting options available. NFL teams are usually more inclined to play their starters more in the third preseason game, but there will be several teams who continue to play only reserves. Let’s take a look at five of the best games to bet on this weekend.

New York Giants +3.0 at Cincinnati Bengals

The New York Giants come into this game with a preseason record of 2-0, and they have been extremely impressive. Running back Saquon Barkley has not been on the field much through their first two games, but it has not slowed down the Giants offense. Quarterback Daniel Jones has been getting plenty of reps in hopes of getting him comfortable before the season opener.

The Giants also have a talented third-string quarterback in Alex Tanney. Cincinnati is 1-1 so far this preseason, but they are the favorites in this game. The Bengals have a talented defense yet again, but their offense is still going to be a mess. Take the 3.0 points and bet the New York Giants over the Cincinnati Bengals.

New England Patriots -3.5 vs. Carolina Panthers

Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots usually don’t care about winning preseason games, but they have been extremely successful through their first two matchups. The Patriots have won a pair of road games this preseason, and they have looked dominant in each game.

The Carolina Panthers looked sharp in week one, before getting dominated by the Buffalo Bills in week two. Carolina has been holding out their top players as well, and that isn’t going to change in this game. The Patriots are finally getting to head home this weekend, and they will put on a show for their home fans. Bet the New England Patriots -3.5 over the Carolina Panthers.

Detroit Lions +1.0 vs. Buffalo Bills

One of the more interesting games on the week three schedule will be a matchup between the Buffalo Bills and Detroit Lions. The Lions will be one point home favorites in this game, but they are 0-2 so far this preseason. Buffalo comes into this game with a 2-0 record, and they have looked pretty sharp in their two victories. The Bills and Lions are both expected to miss the playoffs this season, but both teams should be much improved from a season ago.

The Bills were an absolute mess at quarterback and on offense in 2018, and the Detroit Lions couldn’t figure out a way to stop anyone. This should be a close game on Friday night, but it just feels like the perfect chance for the Lions to get a win. This likely won’t be one of the crisper preseason games ever played, but it should be competitive. Bet the Detroit Lions +1.0 vs. the Buffalo Bills.

New York Jets vs. New Orleans Saints -3.0

The New Orleans Saints are just -3.0 point favorites over the New York Jets in this game, but that number feels a bit low. Both teams have been inconsistent through their first two preseason games, but more regulars are expected to play in this game. The Jets struggled mightily on offense in their week one loss to the New York Giants, but then looked great on defense in beating the Atlanta Falcons.

New Orleans suffered a 34-25 home loss to the Minnesota Vikings in week one but bounced back with a two-point road victory in week two. The Saints just have too many offensive weapons to be shut down in this game, even though some of their starters will be on the bench. The Jets have looked like a much-improved football team, but they still have some things to work on. Bet the New Orleans Saints -3.0 over the New York Jets.

Dallas Cowboys vs. Houston Texans-EVEN

The two Texas teams are set to square off for a showdown on Saturday night. This is a pick’em game, and both of these teams are extremely similar. Dallas and Houston both made the playoffs a season ago, but now each team is trying to figure out how to take the next step.

Houston has had a very quiet offseason and training camp, but that hasn’t been the case with the Cowboys. Contract disputes, holdouts, suspensions, and an inappropriate joke from the owner have all brought distractions to Dallas.

The Texans and Cowboys are both 1-1 so far in the preseason, and there have been some weak moments from both teams. Look for this to be a tight game throughout, but Dallas will get the win at home in front of their passionate fans. Bet the Dallas Cowboys EVEN over the Houston Texans.

NFL Preseason Week 1 Betting Picks and Predictions

Week 1 of the NFL preseason is set to kick off this week, with all of the teams taking the field. Betting on the preseason in the NFL can be hard at times, but there is a chance to make some money if you do a little research. We have tried to pick out the five best games to bet on this week, with a betting prediction for each one of them.

Washington Redskins at Cleveland Browns +1.5

The Cleveland Browns kick off their preseason slate with a home game against the Washington Redskins. The Browns are actually a slight underdog in this game, which feels a bit off. Cleveland comes into the 2019 season with a ton of hype and optimism, and they will want to get things off to a great start in this game. Washington was a mess at the end of the 2018 regular season, and they have major questions at the skill positions on offense. Both teams are expected to hold their starters out of this game, and the Browns have the much deeper and more talented roster. Don’t expect a ton of points in this one, but the Browns will find a way to outscore the Redskins. Take the points and bet the Cleveland Browns +1.5 over the Washington Redskins.

New England Patriots at Detroit Lions +1.5

The Detroit Lions and New England Patriots have been having a joint practice this week, and there won’t be any secrets when the two teams square off in the preseason opener. Lions coach Matt Patricia is a Bill Belichick disciple, and he will have his team ready to play in this one. Detroit actually beat the Patriots in the 2018 regular season, and that was probably the highlight of their season. The New England Patriots might be the defending Super Bowl champions, but they won’t look like that team in the preseason. Belichick will keep his starters out all fall to get them ready for the season opener. The Patriots don’t really start to turn things on until the month of December, and winning this game won’t matter to them at all. The Detroit Lions +1.5 over the New England Patriots is the correct pick in this game.

Atlanta Falcons +3.5 at Miami Dolphins

The Atlanta Falcons will actually be playing in their second preseason game this week after making an appearance in the 2019 Hall of Fame Game. The Falcons lost by a score of 14-10 to the Denver Broncos in that game, but it did give them a chance to shake some of the rust off. The Falcons still aren’t likely to play any of their regulars in this game, but they have a better idea of what reserves should see plenty of action. Miami comes into the 2019 season with several major issues, and they are likely to be the worst team in the NFL this season. Miami could still win some preseason games, but they just appear to be overmatched in this game. Miami will be playing a ton of younger players, and the Falcons will take advantage. Bet the Atlanta Falcons +3.5 over the Miami Dolphins.

Tennessee Titans at Philadelphia Eagles -3.0

The Philadelphia Eagles host the Tennessee Titans in what should be one of the better preseason games this week. Both of these teams have been in the playoffs in recent seasons, and they are both playoff contenders this season. This should be one of the lowest-scoring games of the entire week, as the Eagles and Titans are both loaded on defense. Philadelphia being at home makes them the favorite in this one, and their raucous crowd will be ready to root for their beloved Eagles. The Eagles have plenty of position battles currently going on in camp, and that should help them slide past the Titans in this game. Bet the Philadelphia Eagles -3.0 over the Tennessee Titans.

Carolina Panthers at Chicago Bears -3.0

The Chicago Bears were the biggest surprise team in the NFL in 2018, but they won’t be able to sneak up on anyone this season. The Bears come into this season with almost every single starter returning, and they are a popular pick to win the NFC North. Head coach Matt Nagy is an offensive guru, and he will have his reserves running some exciting plays in this game. The Carolina Panthers are hoping to be much better in 2019 as well, but they do have plenty of question marks heading into the season. Quarterback Cam Newton will be on a pitch count all preseason, and there is no way he suits up for this game. The offense of the Bears will be enough on Thursday night, and the Chicago Bears -3.0 is the correct pick.

NFL Hall of Fame Game Betting Preview

Football is back! The first day of August will give football fans their first chance to watch a live game as the NFL preseason slate is set to begin. The 2019 Hall of Fame Game will mark the start of the NFL preseason once again, and the game will be played in Canton, Ohio.
The Denver Broncos will take on the Atlanta Falcons in the 2019 version of this game, and it should be another exciting night in Ohio. Even though betting on NFL preseason games isn’t as easy as the regular season, this will still give bettors a chance to make some money.
The Denver Broncos are -3.0 point favorites over the Atlanta Falcons on Thursday night. The over/under is set at 34.0 total points for this game. Let’s take a look at each team before making a few betting predictions for the 2019 Hall of Fame Game.

Denver Broncos Preview

The Denver Broncos went just 6-10 in 2018, and it ended up costing Vance Joseph his job as head coach. The Broncos went out and hired Vic Fangio, who spent the last few seasons as the defensive coordinator for the Chicago Bears. Fangio inherits a terrific defense, but there are still plenty of question marks on this roster. The Broncos are hoping to sneak into the playoff field in 2019, but a lot of things are going to have to go right for that to happen. Denver is planning on playing some of their regulars in this game.

If the Denver Broncos are going to win more than six games this season, their offense is going to have to catch up to the defense. Denver made a stunning move in the offseason in acquiring Joe Flacco from the Baltimore Ravens. Flacco should start out the season as the starting quarterback, looking to improve a team that scored less than 21 points per game a season ago. Denver does have a star in the backfield and hometown hero, Phillip Lindsay. Lindsay ran for more than 1,000 yards a season ago and should have an even better season in 2019. If Flacco can just be right around league average, the Broncos should have more balance on offense this season.

Denver had one of the best defenses in the AFC a season ago, and they should only get better under Fangio. The Broncos have a pair of superstar pass rushers in Bradley Chubb and Von Miller, and they can cause a lot of havoc. Chubb and Miller combined for 26.5 sacks a season ago and might have an even bigger season under their new leader. Linebacker Todd Davis led the team with 114 tackles, and the Broncos return almost their entire defensive unit.

Atlanta Falcons Preview

The Atlanta Falcons were in the Super Bowl just a few years ago, but they have struggled in the last few years. The Falcons went just 7-9 a season ago and missed out on the playoffs yet again. Atlanta still has many of the same pieces that were on that Super Bowl roster, and the hope is that they can make a return to the playoffs this season. Atlanta has already announced that many of their stars, most notably Julio Jones, will miss the entirety of the preseason. The Falcons don’t have a ton of motivation to play well in this game.

The Falcons didn’t have any trouble scoring points a season ago, but they are looking for more balance on offense in 2019. The Falcons threw for 290 yards per game while rushing for fewer than 100. Quarterback Matt Ryan continues to play at a high level and threw for almost 5,000 yards in 2018. Julio Jones caught 113 passes for 1,677 yards a season ago and has reported to camp, even though he won’t play in the preseason. Tevin Coleman and Devonta Freeman provide a solid 1-2 punch in the backfield if they can both stay healthy.

Defense is where the Falcons have had plenty of problems in the past, and it looks like it could be an issue again. The Falcons have been terrible defending the pass, and that just won’t work in today’s pass-happy league. Takkarist McKinley was supposed to be an elite pass rusher, but he recorded just seven sacks in 2018. Vic Beasley made just 20 total tackles in 2018 and can’t seem to fight off blocks. If Atlanta wants to make a return to the playoffs, they must find a way to stop someone.

Best Bets to Make

Betting on the NFL preseason is always a risky proposition, but this game feels a little more obvious than some of the other games will be. Atlanta has a veteran team with very little to prove in this game, while the Denver Broncos will be debuting a new head coach. The Broncos should have more to play for, and they will cover the three-point spread in this game. Offenses should be ahead of defenses this early in camp as well, and expect a lot of points scored. Bet the over 34.0 total points in the Hall of Fame Game.

Updated Betting Odds to Win Super Bowl

Major League Baseball is starting to heat up, but sports fans in America are already clamoring for football to begin. NFL training camps will officially begin next month, and fans can’t wait to get their first look at their favorite team. The New England Patriots are the defending Super Bowl champions, but they will have plenty of worthy challengers this season. Let’s take a look at the current odds to win the Super Bowl with a quick preview of a few of the teams on the list.

New England Patriots 6/1: The New England Patriots are heavy favorites to repeat as Super Bowl champions, and it shouldn’t be much of a surprise. The Patriots have been stumbling through regular seasons of late, but they are always a factor in the NFL playoffs. As long as Tom Brady and Bill Belichick are a part of the Patriots organization, then they are always a sound pick.

Kansas City Chiefs 10/1: The Chiefs will look a lot different this season, but they will still have their all-world quarterback in Patrick Mahomes. Tyreek Hill could be facing an early-season suspension due to off-field issues but should be back in time for the playoffs. If the Chiefs can find some defense to pair with their offense, then they will be tough to beat.

Los Angeles Rams 10/1: Todd Gurley’s health is a big concern in Los Angeles, but the Rams should once again be one of the highest scoring teams in the NFC. The Rams gained a ton of experience by a Super Bowl run a season ago, and they will be a popular pick to win the Super Bowl this season.

New Orleans Saints 10/1: The New Orleans Saints’ championship window is closing in a hurry, and this might be their final chance to win a second Super Bowl under Drew Brees and Sean Payton. The Saints were much improved on the defensive side of the ball a season ago, and they can always score.

Cleveland Browns 14/1: The Cleveland Browns are coming, and they are coming fast. Cleveland has a future star at quarterback in Baker Mayfield, and they have surrounded him with a ton of weapons. Cleveland still has plenty to prove, but they are going to be for real.

Indianapolis Colts 15/1

Philadelphia Eagles 15/1

Los Angeles Chargers 19/1

Next Tier

Chicago Bears 20/1: The Bears surprised everyone a season ago to win the NFC North Division, but oddsmakers don’t like their title chances as much in 2019. Chicago has a terrific defense led by Khalil Mack, but they still need more production from young quarterback Mitchell Trubisky.

Dallas Cowboys 22/1

Green Bay Packers 25/1: The Green Bay Packers were a mess last season, and it ended up costing Mike McCarthy his job as head coach. Green Bay is turning to first-year coach Matt LaFleur this season, but they still have Aaron Rodgers under center. Keep your eye on Green Bay this season.

Minnesota Vikings 25/1

Pittsburgh Steelers 25/1: It will be interesting to see what life without Le’ Veon Bell and Antonio Brown looks like for the Steelers, but they should still be really good. Pittsburgh has a solid quarterback in Ben Roethlisberger, and they will be out for revenge after missing the playoffs a season ago.

San Francisco 49ers 30/1

Atlanta Falcons 30/1: The Atlanta Falcons have been a huge disappointment since blowing the Super Bowl to the New England Patriots a few seasons ago. Health has been a huge factor for the Falcons, but they could be a contender if they keep everyone on the field.

Long Shots

Houston Texans 40/1

Seattle Seahawks 40/1: Not much love for the Seattle Seahawks despite having one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL in Russell Wilson. Seattle should be the second-best team in the NFC West and will likely be a playoff team in 2019. It’s hard to ever count out the Seahawks.

Baltimore Ravens 45/1

Jacksonville Jaguars 45/1

Carolina Panthers 50/1

Denver Broncos 60/1

New York Jets 60/1

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 70/1

Oakland Raiders 75/1: Landing Antonio Brown should help the Raiders’ struggling offense, but Oakland has a lot of improving to do to compete this season. They will be featured on HBO’s Hard Knocks, and that might be the highlight of the season.

Tennessee Titans 75/1

Maybe Next Year

Detroit Lions 100/1

Buffalo Bills 125/1

Arizona Cardinals 125/1

New York Giants 125/1: Eli Manning comes into the regular season as the starting QB, but it will be interesting to see how long he lasts. New York has one of the top players in the league in Saquon Barkley, and they need to turn things around in a hurry.

Cincinnati Bengals 150/1

Washington Redskins 150/1

Miami Dolphins 200/1

Super Bowl 53 Betting Preview

The Super Bowl is the biggest sporting event of the year, and this year’s matchup should be another great game. The New England Patriots and Los Angeles Rams are set to square off in a rematch of the 2002 Super Bowl. The Patriots are looking for their sixth Super Bowl victory since that time, while the young Rams team will be trying to get some revenge from that 2002 game. There are a ton of betting options available for the Super Bowl, and we will take a look at some of them below.

New England Patriots -2.5 vs. Los Angeles Rams

The most popular Super Bowl Bet will be on the game itself. The Patriots are 2.5 point favorites in this matchup against the Rams, and they certainly have plenty of experience. When talking about the Patriots, quarterback Tom Brady has to be the first person mentioned. Brady has completed over 71 percent of his passes so far this postseason and is showing no signs of aging. Look for Brady and the Patriots offense to be sharp in Super Bowl 53.

The Los Angeles Rams had one of the best offenses in the league during the regular season, but their biggest star has struggled so far this postseason. Running back Todd Gurley has just 20 rushing attempts in the playoffs, and he looks to be injured. The Rams have still run for 350 yards through their first two playoff games, and C.J. Anderson has come out of nowhere to deliver huge plays. If the Rams are going to score on a tough Patriots defense, they are going to need Gurley to be at a high level.

The biggest disparity between these two teams is on the defensive side of the ball. New England gave up just 20.3 points per game during the regular season, while the Rams allowed 24.0 points per contest. Los Angeles spent a ton of money on defense in the offseason, but they have not seen a return for their money. Defensive tackle Aaron Donald did rack up 20.5 sacks this season, and he will have to find a way to get some pressure on Tom Brady. The Patriots have already shut down two of the best offenses in the NFL in these playoffs, and you can bet that Bill Belichick will have a solid game plan in place for this game.

2.5 points is not a very large spread, and this game looks like it might go right down to the wire. The Rams have been much better than the Patriots all season long, but New England just knows how to win in the playoffs. Sean McVay is a terrific coach, but he is taking on the best coach in football in Bill Belichick. The Belichick-Brady combination is one of the best in league history, and there is no way I’m betting against them. Bet the New England Patriots -2.5 over the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LIII.

Over/Under 56.5 Points

The oddsmakers have set the total on this game at 56.5 points, which is one of the highest over/under totals of all time. The explosive offense of the Rams obviously plays a huge role in this number, but the Patriots defense is tough on opponents. Tom Brady and the Patriots can score points in their own right, but they have a history of long drives in key playoff games. Look for the Patriots to slow the game down to keep the Rams offense off of the field. 56.5 points is a ton, especially for the Super Bowl, and I don’t think the final score gets close to that number. Bet under 56.5 points for Super Bowl LIII.

Prop Betting

Prop betting is extremely popular for the Super Bowl, and there is a way to make some serious money by winning some prop bets. Let’s take a look at some of the better prop bets available:

Coin Toss:

Heads -105
Tails -105

This one is pure luck, but I have a hunch that “heads” will be the winning bet.

Super Bowl MVP:

Tom Brady +125
Jared Goff +250
Todd Gurley +1000
Sony Michel +1200
C.J. Anderson +1600
Aaron Donald +1800

A complete list of players can be found on almost any online sportsbook, but these are the six players with the best odds. Since I’m picking the Patriots to win the game, I think a Patriot will win Super Bowl MVP. New England loves messing up these kinds of bets, so look from someone outside of this list to win. Perhaps Rob Gronkowski at +3000 is the top betting option.

Length of the National Anthem:

OVER 1:47 -160
UNDER 1:47 +120

Gladys Knight is this year’s National Anthem performer, and she will cherish her time in the spotlight. Bet the over and hope she hits some long notes!

Will Any Quarterback Throw for Over 400 Yards in the Super Bowl:

YES +275
NO -450

Tom Brady threw for over 500 yards in Super Bowl 52, and he should have another huge day. He won’t get to 500 in this game, but 400 is a possibility. Take a shot and bet Yes +275 in this prop bet.

NFL Conference Championship Betting Odds and Predictions

There are just four teams left standing in the NFL Playoffs, and those teams will square off on Sunday. The top two seeds in each conference are set to square off in two games that should be highly competitive and exciting. Both of the home teams are favored to win, but the road teams have plenty of reasons to take them. Each game is also a rematch of a regular season matchup, but a lot has changed since those two meetings. Let’s take a look at each game before making a betting prediction for each one.

New Orleans Saints -3.5 vs. Los Angeles Rams:

The NFC Championship game featuring the New Orleans Saints and Los Angeles Rams will likely be a high-scoring affair. The Saints were able to beat the Rams earlier in the season, winning by a score of 45-35. The winner of this game will likely be the team who is able to play just a little bit of defense, but all eyes will be on the explosive offenses.

Saints quarterback Drew Brees set an NFL record this season by completing 74.4 percent of his passes during the regular season. Brees has been one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL for quite some time, but seems to be getting better with age. The Saints offense also features one of the best wide receivers in the NFL in Michael Thomas. Thomas had 12 catches for 171 yards, and one touchdown in the Saints win over the Eagles and should find plenty of space in a struggling Rams secondary.

New Orleans will try to win this game with their passing game, but the Rams will use their dynamic duo of running backs. Todd Gurley has been a stud all season long, but C.J. Anderson has come out of nowhere to give the Rams a terrific 1-2 punch. Los Angeles ran for 273 yards in their playoff win over the Cowboys, and will likely use the same strategy in this game. If the Saints are able to stop the run, the Rams still have a terrific quarterback in Jared Goff and an innovative play-caller in Sean McVay.

The Saints were the better team in the first meeting of the season, and there is no reason to think that it won’t happen again. New Orleans is almost impossible to beat in the Superdome, and they are the team that features the best defense out of the two teams. The Los Angeles Rams will be in a Super Bowl very soon, but it won’t happen this year. Bet the New Orleans Saints -3.5 over the Los Angeles Rams.

Kansas City Chiefs -3.0 vs. New England Patriots:

The Kansas City Chiefs will host the New England Patriots in another rematch of a terrific regular season game. New England was able to win that game by a score of 43-40 in Foxboro, but will now have to deal with a raucous crowd at Arrowhead Stadium. Weather could play a huge role in this game, as snow is projected along with frigid temperatures. The Patriots have proven that they can win Championship Games in any weather, while the Chiefs are trying to reach their first Super Bowl since 1970.

Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs offense has been the talk of the NFL all season long. Mahomes became just the third player in NFL history to throw for over 5,000 yards and 50 touchdowns in a season. What makes this even more impressive is that this is the first year as starting quarterback for the stud QB. Tight end Travis Kelce and wide receiver Tyreek Hill have been the top targets for Mahomes this season. Kelce and Hill combined to rack up 2,800 receiving yards and 22 touchdowns during the regular season. Defense is a question mark with the Chiefs, but they can score some points.

The Chiefs aren’t the only team with a great quarterback, as Tom Brady still leads the Patriots offense. Brady had an up and down regular season, but looked like his old self in the playoff game against the Los Angeles Chargers. The five-time Super Bowl champion threw for 343 yards in the AFC Divisional Round win, but he had plenty of help. Rookie running back Sony Michel had 129 of the team’s 155 rushing yards in that victory and scored three touchdowns. Head coach Bill Belichick has a history of creating a defensive game plan to slow down an opponent’s best player, and he will have something up his sleeve for the Chiefs high scoring attack.

Kansas City has been the best team in the NFL all season long, and they look like the clear favorite in this game. Their offense is close to unstoppable, and they will have a huge edge of playing at home. It might be a smart play to take the Chiefs in this game, but there is no way I’m betting against Tom Brady and Bill Belichick. Brady and Belichick just know how to get the job done, and I think it happens again on Sunday. Take the points and Bet the New England Patriots +3.5 over the Kansas City Chiefs.
