A Busy Week Ahead for Top English Teams with Champions, Europa and Premier League Games

The top English teams face a very busy two weeks over the next fortnight as they finish off the final matches in their Champions League and Europa League campaign, but then face the prospect of two Premier League matches within the space of four days next week with a midweek fixture list as well as the usual weekend games.

Add on to this the fact that this is happening just a couple of weeks before the crazily hectic Christmas period, where some teams will play three Premier League games in the space of five or six days, and you can see why teams are now requiring squads of even greater depth to cope with the fixture workload.

However, if you are a fan of betting on Premier League games or having a flutter on either of the top two European competitions, then this coming week is an absolute bonanza of betting and there’s plenty of good offers to enjoy. This week we are going to take a look at a couple of bets that I feel offer good value over the next seven days or so, as well as some of the offers we can take advantage of with the likes of Ladbrokes when placing the bets.

Let’s begin by taking a look at some tips for Tuesday and Wednesday night’s Champions League games.

Champions League – Tuesday 5th and Wednesday 6th December

Rather than do a single accumulator bet, what I have done for a change this week is go through the 16 Champions League matches taking place on Tuesday and Wednesday nights and I have put my selection down for the Match Result market.

You can then, if you so wish, bet on these markets singly and perhaps get a better value bet by using a Ladbrokes promotion such as the Odds Boost offer, which all Ladbrokes customers have available to them once per day on any bet they choose. Alternatively you can select a number of matches you like the look of and add them to a bet slip to make up your own accumulator. However you decide to proceed, I wish you luck.

Here’s my tips for Tuesday and Wednesday’s Champions League games. Odds shown are provided by Ladbrokes.

Tuesday 5th December

  • Benfica v FC Basel – Draw – 11/5
  • Celtic v Anderlecht – Home Win – 4/5
  • Manchester United v CSKA Moscow – Home Win – 4/9
  • Barcelona v Sporting Lisbon – Home Win – 1/3
  • Bayern Munich v Paris St Germain – Draw – 13/5
  • Chelsea v Atletico Madrid – Draw – 23/10
  • Olympiacos v Juventus – Away Win – 4/9
  • AS Roma v Qarabag – Home Win – 1/9

Wednesday 6th December

  • Feyenoord v Napoli – Away Win – 1/3
  • Liverpool v Spartakl Moscow – Home Win – 2/9
  • Maribor Branik v Sevilla – Away Win – 2/9
  • FC Porto v AS Monaco – Draw – 4/1
  • Red Bull Leipzig v Besiktas – Home Win – 3/10
  • Real Madrid v Borussia Dortmund – Home Win – 4/9
  • Shakhtar Donetsk v Man City – Draw – 23/10
  • Tottenham v APOEL Nicosia – Home Win – 2/9

If I was going to place a fivefold accumulator to take advantage of Ladbrokes Five-fold Acca Insurance offer, then I would select the following as my bet across the two nights of action:

  • Bayern Munich v PSG – Draw 13/5
  • Chelsea v Atletico Madrid – Draw 23/10
  • Olympiacos v Juventus – Away Win – 4/9
  • Feyenoord v Napoli – Away Win – 1/3
  • FC Porto v AS Monaco – Draw – 4/1

This would return at odds of 113.39/1 with Ladbrokes and would mean a £10 stake offering you a return of £1133.90, plus if you get four selections right and one lets you down, you would get your stake money back as a free bet with Ladbrokes.

Europa League Acca – Thursday 7th December

There’s a total of 24 Europa League games scheduled to take place on Thursday as the Group Stage reaches its climax and the identity of all the 24 teams that will qualify for the knockout phase are known. In many groups, one or both teams have already qualified ahead of tonight’s fixtures, so I’m going to instead put together a small accumulator which will qualify for Ladbrokes Fivefold Acca Insurance offer if one leg lets you down.

My selections for this acca are:

  • Rijeka v AC Milan – Draw – 12/5
  • Apollon Limassol v Everton – Away Win – 17/10
  • Arsenal v BATE Borisov – Home Win – 4/9
  • Hertha Berlin v Ostersunds – Draw – 11/5
  • Real Sociedad v Zenit St Petersburg – Home Win 21/20

This fivefold accumulator returns with Ladbrokes at odds of 85.98/1 and that means a £10 bet would return your £859.80. However, if just one leg let you down then you would get your money back as a free bet thanks to the Acca Insurance.

Premier League Tips – Saturday 9th & Sunday 10th December

For the weekend’s Premier League tips and also the midweek games, we’re going to instead use Paddy Power’s Acca Insurance offer, which is very similar to Ladbrokes promotion and we are also going to consider the advantage of the 2 Up You Win offer you can claim at Paddy Power when you back a team to win a match and if they go in front by two goals or more, then Paddy Power will pay you out as a winner regardless of the result of the match.

I’ve gone through the full weekend’s fixture list and here’s my tips on those Premier League games:

Saturday 9th December

  • West Ham v Chelsea – Away Win – 1/2
  • Burnley v Watford – Away Win – 2/1
  • Crystal Palace v Bournemouth – Home Win – Evens
  • Huddersfield Town v Brighton – Draw – 15/8
  • Swansea City v West Brom – Draw – 2/1
  • Tottenham v Stoke City – Home Win – 1/4
  • Newcastle United v Leicester City – Draw – 23/10

Sunday 10th December

  • Southampton v Arsenal – Away Win – 10/11
  • Liverpool v Everton – Home Win – 1/4
  • Man Utd v Man City – Draw – 13/5

Two up you win offer – I’d be tempted to go for Manchester City with this bet, who are an 11/10 shot against United. If one team could come back from a 2-0 deficit to City, especially at home, it is United, so I think this bet has merits, especially if City start the game quickly.

My weekend fivefold – here’s my choice of fivefold bet for the weekends games:

  • West Ham v Chelsea – Away Win – 1/2
  • Crystal Palace v Bournemouth – Home Win – Evens
  • Newcastle v Leicester – Draw – 23/10
  • Southampton v Arsenal – Away Win – 10/11
  • Man Utd v Man City – Draw – 13/5

A £10 bet with Paddy Power would return £680.40 if your bet wins, plus if just one leg lets you down you would get your £10 stake back as a free bet.

Midweek Premier League Tips – Tuesday 12th & Wednesday 13th December

I’ve done the same for the midweek fixtures next week on Tuesday and Wednesday once again with Paddy Power:

Tuesday 12th December

  • Burnley v Stoke City – Home Win – 13/10
  • Crystal Palace v Watford – Draw – 23/10
  • Huddersfield v Chelsea – Away Win – 3/10

Wednesday 13th December

  • Newcastle Utd v Everton – Draw – 9/4
  • Southampton v Leicester City – Away Win – 11/4
  • Swansea City v Man City – Away Win – 1/5
  • Liverpool v West Brom – Home Win – 1/5
  • Man Utd v Bournemouth – Home Win – 2/9
  • Tottenham v Brighton – Home Win – 1/4
  • West Ham v Arsenal – Away Win – 4/7

Two Up You Win Offer – Looking at this I feel that Crystal Palace could be a decent shout here. Watford are not great defensively but they do score plenty of goals, especially on the road and even if Palace did go 2-0 up, I think Watford could come back. So that offer would appeal to me for a bet on a Palace win here.

For my midweek Premier League fivefold I would back the following:

  • Burnley v Stoke City – Home Win – 13/10
  • Crystal Palace v Watford – Draw – 23/10
  • Newcastle Utd v Everton – Draw – 9/4
  • Swansea City v Man City – Away Win – 1/5
  • West Ham v Arsenal – Away Win – 4/7

A £10 bet on this accumulator would return £465.16, but if just one leg let you down you would at least get your money back with Paddy Power as a free bet.
